If you have a knocked-out tooth, follow these steps:
- Pick up the tooth by the crown (not the root).
- Gently rinse it with water (do not scrub or remove attached tissue).
- If possible, place the tooth back in the socket and hold it in place.
- If reinsertion isn’t possible, store the tooth in milk or saliva.
